The world is ever changing and Girl Scout volunteering has changed, as well. Busy lives, however, do not mean that volunteering has become "out of date", in fact surveys show that Americans feel more compelled to give of their time and energy than ever before. The Girl Scouts of Western New York can offer many opportunities to caring and qualified individuals to help "change the world" one girl at a time.
Opportunities Available
Our most "visible" volunteer is our Troop/Group Leader or Assistant Leader. The Council could not exist without them. It is a wonderful opportunity to benefit girls, your community and many times, your own daughter.
If the commitment of troop leadership is not what you are interested in, there are many opportunities available at Girl Scouts of Western New York.

Make a Difference!
From helping a troop's cookie sale to "chairing" an important fund raising event, from managing a phone tree to serving as a regional council delegate or alternate, no volunteer's willingness to help inconsequential; we deeply appreciate all volunteer efforts.
Girl Scouts of Western New York is seeking Council Delegates to serve in the council's nine county region. Click for more information.
Males in Girl Scouting
Girl Scouts of Western New York encourages interested male volunteers to consider giving of their time to Girl Scouting. Whether it be serving as a helper at their daughter's troop meeting or serving on the Board of Directors, there are volunteer positions available for males.
Volunteering can be flexible
Staff at GSWNY are aware of the constraints that are on busy lives today. That is why we offer flexible, yet meaningful ways to give volunteer service to Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts of Western Corporate Volunteers
