Girl Scout camp provides girls with an opportunity to try new and exciting experiences, explore the wonders of nature, enjoy traditional camp activities and adventures, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
What makes our camps so special? Girl Scout camp is unique in that it is girl-led. Guided by staff, girls of every age are involved in planning, organizing, and evaluating their camp activities. Girls are empowered as they learn and practice creative thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Our camp programs are open to all girls entering kindergarten through grade 12—including those who have never participated in Girl Scouts. We offer both day and resident (overnight) camp programs.
Our summer staff are recruited from around the world. They are college students, mothers, teachers and others who enjoy working with children. They all complete an application and interview, provide references, and undergo a formal background check. All staff complete an intensive pre-camp training orientation before campers arrive. There are 2 counselors for every 12 girls at day camp and 2 counselors for every 10 girls at resident camp.
Financial Assistance (Camperships)

Rental properties are available year-round and able to accommodate groups of various sizes. Open to: the public, troops, businesses, schools, faith-based groups, and other organizations.
NEW! Family and Friends Event at Camp Timbercrest Celebrating 50 years at Camp Timbercrest!
Did you know that Camp Timbercrest opened its doors as a resident camp in 1967? Much has changed over the years, but many of the traditions remain! THIS SUMMER, CAMP TIMBERCREST WILL BE CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF SUMMER CAMP ADVENTURES. Calling all families, friends and alumni…. come to Camp Timbercrest and be a part of our celebrating weekend as you get a chance to see how camp has grown and developed through the years! Swimming, boating, horseback riding, arts and crafts, tours, laughter, evening campfires, candle lit path ceremony and lots of s’mores will be a part of this celebrating weekend. Horseback riding will be on a first-come first-served basis and will be an additional fee of $25 per person payable at camp. Date – July 14-16, 2017 Cost - $60 per person (2 nights) $30 per person (1 night) $20 per person (Saturday during the day only) Children under 5 years of age are free Registration closes June 26, 2017. Arriving at Camp
- If you have registered for the entire weekend event (Friday-Sunday), registration will be from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- If you registered just for the day, please plan on arriving at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
- If you are staying over on Friday night only you can depart anytime on Saturday. Please remember to checkout with one of our Timbercrest staff members.
Camping participants will be placed in our platform or cabin tent units unless you specified a special accommodation on your registration application. If you require special sleeping accommodations and did not indicate it on your registration form please contact us at email@example.com.
Travel Trailers and Personal Sleeping Tents
Participants may opt to bring their personal camping tent. If you did not indicate this on the registration form please contact us to let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants may also be able to bring their personal travel trailers; however, prior approval is needed to determine proper space. Please note that if permission is given there are no hookups of any kind for travel trailers.
