The Girl Scouts of Western New York is looking for hard working, dedicated individuals to join our organization and help build girls of courage, confidence, and character. The following positions are currently available.

TROOP NUMBERS
Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) is implementing a national membership data base for Girl Scout councils. The Girl Scouts of Western New York will go live on the new system in early 2009. To prepare for the change, all troops will be assigned additional identifying numbers. At this time it is not necessary to display the extra numbers on uniforms. However, they will be required on registration materials, financial transactions and all business conducted with council service centers. Troops will receive specifics about the new numbers through their service units later this year. Please contact your Membership Manager with questions.

BATAVIA OFFICE HOURS
Correction: Office Hours for the Batavia Service Center have not changed. They remain noon–5 p.m., Monday–Thursday and Fridays, 8:30a.m.–noon. Holiday and other closings are posted for all service centers on the GSWNY web site.

Welcome to the website of the Girl Scouts of Western New York. We are extremely excited about this opportunity to combine forces within the Western New York region to reach every girl to offer her the limitless opportunities that are provided in the world of Girl Scouting.

Girl Scouts of Western New York will develop and enhance leadership skills to approximately 25,000 girls within 9 counties with the potential to serve 198,000 girls. If you’ve never thought about Girl Scouts and how we encourage girls to DISCOVER, CONNECT and TAKE ACTION, now is the time.

An organization of this magnitude takes dedicated volunteers. If you have a “heart” for children and are interested in furthering the mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place, please join us. We currently have approximately 12,000 adult volunteers who are making a difference daily in the lives of tomorrow’s leaders.

If you’re a former Girl Scout and would like to reconnect, we’d love to hear from you!

For more information about the Girl Scouts of Western New York, take a look at our website full of information or give us a call at 716-837-6400.

Remember the best is yet to come!
