Keep growing and developing as a volunteer – from the comfort of your own home! Each month we’ll be exploring a topic to give you program ideas, go over processes and procedures, preview upcoming information, and generally just keep you in the know!

Let's Ban Bossy togther!

Ban Bossy

The Ban Bossy campaign has officially launched! The aim of this new GSUSA initiative is to take the stigma of being called “bossy” out of the picture for today’s girls. It’s powerful to hear a woman as accomplished as Beyoncé adding her voice by saying, “I’m not Bossy. I’m the Boss.”

This campaign is about empowerment and taking action. To that end, GSUSA has created an activity intended for Girl Scout Juniors through Cadettes called I-Statements that is all about encouraging girls to speak confidently and directly about their feelings. There’s even a short tutorial video about I-Statements that will enable you to confidently facilitate the activity for girls. More information can be found at girlscouts.org/banbossy/
