Ingredients for Success: Creating a Smart Cookie

Fredonia State University of NY (Williams Center)

For Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (Non-registered Girl Scouts who are 11 to 18 years old may also participate.)

Participants will enjoy hands-on activities learning the ingredients for success: exploring careers, personal finance, and cookie success. Adults will learn techniques to support girls to succeed. The cookie pin will be awarded to registered Girl Scouts at the end of the event. This program is presented by the Enactus students at Fredonia State University. Enactus is an international non-profit organization whose purpose is to enable progress through entrepreneurial action.

The cost is $5 for registered Girl Scouts, $20 for non-registered Girl Scouts, and $5 for adults. Lunch is provided for both girls and adults (pizza/chicken fingers/beverage). Parking is free. The deadline to register is January 5, 2015. Sign up today at gswny.wufoo.com/forms/m1iwvbgm0ymemc4.

For Senior Girl Scouts

With the help of Geico staff, come earn your Car Care badge in one day! You will have the opportunity to learn car maintenance skills such as how to change a tire and use jumper cables. You'll also gain a better understanding of how to stay safe on the road and learn what to do in an emergency. After the day, you will be well on your way to being ready to hit the road. Badge and lunch are included.

 

International Travel Opportunity

Girl Scouts of Western New York will take Girl Scout Cadettes and older on an excursion to Europe in June 2016! Girl Scouts will plan for and earn money for travel, learn about new places, experience new cultures, visit a World Centre, and explore London, Paris, and Lucerne. (View the itinerary).
