New! Core Camp

Core Camp is the perfect setting for first-time leaders who want to take their girls troop camping without the responsibility of providing program, meals, or having trained/certified adults. At Camp Timbercrest, we will do it all for you. All troop leaders have to do is provide the necessary child to adult supervision ratio. You and your girls can participate in as much or as little programming as you choose. Core Camp will take place at Camp Timbercrest. For more information on Core camp programs please go to pages 6-7 of the 2015 camp catalog.

New! Specialty Programs Provided (S.P.P.) Camping

With S.P.P. camping, troops can now get the best of both worlds of troop camping and specialized programs such as ropes course, archery, and boating. Trained leaders will have the freedom of troop camp with the comfort of knowing that pre-deter- mined specialty program options and times have been scheduled for you and your girls. Leaders taking part in S.P.P. camping must have their Level I camp training (for lodge camping) or Level II (for cabin and tent camping) and provide an adult with current first aid and CPR certification. S.P.P. Camping will take place at Camp Seven Hills/Lakeside and Camp Piperwood. For more information on S.P.P. camping please see page 8 of the 2015 camp catalog

Summer Camp is A Girl Scout Tradition.

For thousands, the camp experience has been a long-standing family tradition. At camp, girls build new skills, get a sense of community, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether for a day, week or longer, Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun—always under the guidance of caring, trained adults.

Our GSWNY summer camps are ACA (American Camp Association) accredited. Click here to learn more.
