Operation
Cookie Drop
All troops have the
opportunity to participate in the 2008 Gift of Caring
project: Operation Cookie Drop! During your booth
sales, you can encourage your customers to purchase
a box (or more) of cookies for Operation Cookie Drop
to send Girl Scout cookies to our uniformed men and
women stationed both overseas and in the Western New
York region. A local sponsor has agreed to cover the
cost of shipping up to 2,500 boxes to the military
overseas. Additional boxes will be distributed to
veterans' hospitals and other military organizations.
Participating troops are responsible for arranging
to bring operation Cookie Drop cookie boxes to the
designated drop-off locations. In the Buffalo region,
the date to drop off the boxes of cookies will be:
November 23 and November 30 from 5–6 p.m. at
the IGT building at 6020 Bailey Avenue in Amherst,
NY. Troops from Monroe and GLOW counties can contact
Nancy Alspaugh at (888) 837-6410 x242 for more information
on where to bring cookies. Thank you in advance for

the morale of our military men and women!
