2020 SUMMER CAMP ANNOUNCEMENT:
It may come as no surprise, but given the current and expected impact of COVID-19 on our community, we’ve made the difficult, but necessary, decision to cancel all GSWNY overnight and day camps for the summer of 2020, effective today.
We recognize that this decision may disappoint our families and Girl Scouts. The importance of outdoor experiences as a part of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) cannot be overstated. However, our top priorities remain the safety and well-being of our girls, volunteers, and staff.

Working at Girl Scouts of Western New York
At Girl Scouts of Western New York, we're all about leadership development for girls.

Their impact is felt not only within our local communities, but across the country and around the world.
It takes a team of extraordinary people to produce an extraordinary council. Become an Outdoor Champion!
GSWNY seeks Outdoor Champion Volunteers who are willing to help us enhance council programming and training offerings to support our girls in finding their own outdoor adventure. Outdoor Champions can take on many forms – education and outreach to spread positive outdoor messaging, serving as an “outdoor mentor” for troops and even leading and guiding outdoor programs. Enthusiastic and positive volunteers can take on any of these roles, regardless of your current level of experience. We need you to join us on this project and help more girls get outside!
Please take this brief survey to share your interests. Once submitted, the Outdoor Department will contact you to arrange a placement that best fits your interests. If you have any questions, please contact Janet DePetrillo, Director of Camp Administration.
