(In-Person) Earn your Eco Explorer & Eco Advocate Badges - S/A
Come join Sarah Baillie who works at the Center for Biological Diversity, a national environmental nonprofit. She will explain how the Center uses law, science, and creative media to protect wild species and places. Girls will “choose their own adventure” to discuss single-use plastics, food waste, or fast fashion. They will learn about common sources of individual waste and how they cause harm to ecosystems. They will craft a solution to these problems and then learn to how to advocate to get the problems solved. Girls will then share their experiences in educating others about their waste-saving solutions and how they work. Weather permitting this program will take place outdoors. Please bring a folding camping chair. COVID guidelines including masks and social distancing must be followed during this program. This program includes the Conscious Consumer Fun Patch and Eco Explorer/Eco Advocate Girl Scout Badge.
