Every girl should have the opportunity to find her wow through Girl Scouts. Girls should not be turned away when she has the desire to discover new things, connect with other girls, and make the world a better place. That’s why Girl Scouts of Western New York is proud to offer financial aid to our members, thanks to our generous sponsors, so that all girls may participate fully in Girl Scout program activities and camp.

Our financial aid application process was designed with families in mind. To increase opportunities for girls and make it easier for families to apply, Girl Scouts of Western New York has streamlined the financial assistance process.
Girl Scouts of Western New York offers financial assistance in the following ways:
Annual Membership Registration
Girls who want to be part of the Girl Scouts sisterhood but cannot afford to do so can select financial assistance when registering online.

Programs & Badge in a Box
Financial assistance is available for GSWNY Council Sponsorship Programs and for Badge in a Box.
Girl Scout Uniforms & Books
GSWNY will provide financial assistance for a girl’s uniform based on the girl’s level of need, participation with the troop, and troop finances. To receive financial assistance, you must complete the entire Council Opportunity Fund submission. Please complete one submission for each troop. Your submission will be reviewed by GSWNY and we will notify you within 7-10 business days once your request has been processed.
Uniform assistance can only be used for the following items:
• American Flag Patch
• GSUSA Council ID set
• Troop Numbers
• Insignia Tab
• Girl Scout Membership pin
• World Trefoil pin
• Tunic, Sash, or Vest
