Corporate Partnerships

Partnering with GSWNY means partnering with the strongest organization for girls in Western New York. Your support allows girls access to science, technology, financial literacy, and the great outdoors. Partnerships of this scale ensure that girls will always be able to access Girl Scouts regardless of their financial situation, through funding their memberships and programming.

A partnership with Girl Scouts of Western New York provides your company with opportunities to showcase your support for tomorrow’s leaders. You will strengthen your reputation, and inspire loyalty among consumers and employees.

Partner with us to demonstrate your commitment to building a strong and inclusive female leadership pipeline, so all girls can make their own choices, take healthy risks, explore their curiosities, and become a future member of your workforce.

Hometown Heroes

Last year, Girl Scouts of Western New York introduced the Hometown Heroes Project—a chance for local businesses to help our girls reach their entrepreneurial goals AND thank local heroes and essential workers.

Companies have the opportunity to choose from four cookie Sponsorship levels and have the corresponding cookie donation delivered to heroes across WNY.

2022 Levels of Support:

  • Thin Mints Tier - $5,000 = 1,000 packages
  • Shortbread Tier - $3,500 = 700 packages
  • Caramel deLites Tier - $2,500 = 500 packages
  • Peanut Butter Patties Tier - $1,000 = 200 packages

Your support of our girls is crucial each cookie season and especially now. To show our appreciation, we are offering a vigorous press kit for every Sponsorship level of the Hometown Heroes Project.

Each kit is packed with ways to showcase your support of our girls and heroes - on your website, social media, and beyond! Most important of all, your donation represents your company’s investment in our girls and their success.

The greater your investment, the greater the impact you’ll have for our girls and our Hometown Heroes.

2022 Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

Here are GSWNY’s Corporate Sponsorship initiatives for 2022.

Hometown Heroes Project

GSWNY has proudly created the Hometown Heroes Project: a chance for local businesses to help our girls reach their entrepreneurial goals AND thank local heroes and essential workers.

Companies choose from four Cookie Sponsorship Levels and the corresponding amount of cookie boxes are delivered to designated heroes across our council. Your support of our girls during cookie season is crucial. To show our appreciation, we offer a robust press kit for each Sponsorship level of the Hometown Heroes Project.

Each kit is packed with ways to showcase your support of our girls and heroes—on your website, social media, and beyond. Most important of all, your donation represents your company’s investment in our girls and their success!

Girl Opportunity Fund

We are committed to ensuring that ALL girls, regardless of financial resources, can participate in Girl Scouts. This fund provides that opportunity to individual girls and adult volunteers.

Your gift will provide financial assistance to cover membership fees, dues, uniforms, council-sponsored programs, and trips. This fund helps us reach those that would otherwise not be able to access all that GSWNY has to offer. $325 can support a girl from her beginning year as a Brownie all the way through her senior year as an ambassador.

By supporting this initiative, your organization will ensure that no girl or volunteer will be turned away due to financial stress.

Badge in a Box

The Badge in a Box program is a way for girls to bring Girl Scouting home. The unique programming is grounded in the GSLE model and addresses the needs of underserved K-12 girls across WNY by providing them with the necessary materials and resources required to implement a badge program.

These new box kits are a wonderful option for girls whose troops are not currently meeting in person, who are Juliette Girl Scouts (girl members not affiliated with a troop who complete Girl Scout activities with the guidance of an adult mentor), or who want to supplement their Girl Scout experiences with additional activities they can do with their families.

Each box contains the supplies needed to complete a badge at home, an easy-to-follow activity guide, and the badge itself. Your support would help make it possible for anywhere between 125-5,000 girls to participate in this programming.

The Gold Award Celebration

The skills and experiences Girl Scouts gain along the way set them up for special recognition through our Highest Awards and annual Gold Award Celebration. Since 1916, the Gold Award has stood for excellence and leadership for girls everywhere.

The Gold Award is the most prestigious and the most difficult Girl Scout award to earn; open only to Girl Scouts in high school, this award takes one to two years to complete, must clock a minimum of 80 hours, and the project must be sustainable well into the future.

Each year, GSWNY awards 30-50 girls with their Gold Award. As they earn one of Girl Scouts’ highest awards, they are also changing their corner of the world—and beyond.

Earning the Gold Award means a girl distinguishes themselves in the college admissions process, becomes eligible for more college scholarships, and can enter the military one rank higher than her peers.

These young women are aspiring leaders whose Gold Award projects are impacting the worlds of STEM, education, agriculture, medicine, and more on a local, national, and global level.

Volunteer Perks

We would not be able to serve our girls without the many volunteers that go above and beyond to make a difference in their lives. Our volunteers are amazing and we want to make sure they are shown the proper love and appreciation they deserve.

In doing so, GSWNY would like to leverage any perks and incentives that our corporate partners can provide to the volunteers that have shown outstanding contributions to our organization. This acknowledgment is key to volunteer appreciation and retention.
