Benefits of Being a Girl Advisory Board Member toggle arrow
  • Earn the Silver or Gold Torch Award.
  • It looks incredible on applications — College apps, scholarships, internships, jobs. Advisory board experience signals leadership, not just participation. You're not a member; you're a decision-maker. That's a meaningful distinction.
  • You get access and connections you can't find elsewhere. Advisory board roles often come with exposure to community leaders, nonprofit professionals, and executives who volunteer with the organization. That network can open doors well beyond Girl Scouts.
  • You're part of something bigger than a troop. The GSWNY Advisory Board operates at the council level — meaning your work affects Girl Scouts across an entire region, not just your own group. That's real scope and real impact.

Please note: The application must be completed in one sitting. Your progress won’t be saved if you leave the page.
