A few hours can earn a patch. A few seconds can save a life.
Back by popular demand, the Rochester Regional Health Stroke Superstar Patch Program!
Did you know children are often present when a parent, grandparent, or other caregiver experiences a stroke? Learning how to recognize the warning signs and call for help could make a life-saving difference.
Join your fellow Girl Scouts at Rochester General Hospital for an exciting, hands-on event focused on stroke awareness, recognition, and prevention. Through fun, interactive activities, you'll learn how to spot the signs of a stroke, understand why every second counts, and know what to do in an emergency.
The experience also includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the hospital, where you'll:
Explore state-of-the-art medical technology
Visit the hospital laboratory
Tour an ambulance
Meet real-life healthcare heroes who care for our community
Say hello to Moxi, Rochester General Hospital's hardworking healthcare robot!
By the end of the program, you'll have the knowledge to help save a life-and earn your Stroke Superstar Patch.
