These governance volunteers have the responsibility of strategic planning, fund development, financial oversight, appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and are Girl Scout ambassadors to this Council. They are chosen by the Board Development Committee and elected by the voting members of the Council. The Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Western New York believes in our Mission to engage girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
We are always looking for diverse professionals to join our Board. We look for active Board participants with strong commitment to fund development, membership recruitment and a variety of experiences and skill sets. We seek individuals from all communities in our nine counties and who represent the diversity of our membership.
